点评：Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan, is a famous tiger reserve known for its Bengal tigers, diverse wildlife, and the historic Ranthambore Fort within the Park, offering a unique safari experience amidst ruins and water bodies where animals are accustomed to humans, making it a top destination for wildlife photography and nature lovers.
It's situated at the junction of Aravali hill and Vindhya hill ranges in the Sawai Madhopur district, accessible easily by road and rail..We travelled in a Traveller.
The Park is famous for its high population of Bengal Tigers around 70 nos, seen moving or resting, even near visitor vehicles.
Wildlife: Home to Sambar deer, sloth bears, wild boars, crocodiles, chital spotted deer and over 100 bird species including peacocks.
Safari & Booking Zones: Divided into core (1-5) and buffer (6-10) zones, with Zones 3, 4, and 5 popular for sightings. We did safari at Zone 4 and we're successful in sighting Shakti Tiger.
Ranthambore National Park is divided into 10 safari zones, with Zones 1-5 being the most popular for tiger sightings due to water bodies (lakes) and varied terrain like forests and hills; Zones 6-10, accessed from the rear, offer quieter experiences with different landscapes, though still potential for tigers and other wildlife. Zones 1-5 use the Singhdwar entry, while 6-10 use rear gates like Gular Kui, with specific zones like Zone 3 (Machli's old territory) known for picturesque views and high sightings, and Zone 9 (Qual Ji) along the Chakal River.
National park offers Jeep six seater and canter safaris 22 seater; morning timings 7am- 10am and evening 2pm- 5pm, options. Online advance booking is essential via the Rajasthan Forest Department portal, with ID proof required during booking as well as travelling inside the National park.
