点评:We had first visited this site in the 1990’s and felt that another visit was due. Our first stop was the visitor center located in the former school. We then proceeded to visit a former classroom with all the old desks and a wall of radiators. Then it was onto the museum which covers several rooms. A rather faded video is shown in the large auditorium. At the book shop, we purchased one of the thirty books authored by Mr. Carter. We then did a little tour of the town before driving to the Boyhood home. Here you park and walk a path to the house. The house was a good size for its time with three bedrooms, one bath, a large living room, a small kitchen and a small breakfast room. Nearby you can see the small general store, the clay tennis court, and some animals on the property. There are several picnic tables near the parking area.
