What a little gem of a site
Glenariff Forest Park Caravan Park的点评
点评：Stopped at Glenariff with the camper van, and what a lovely surprise. Staying over we had time to explore the waterfalls following the 5km red signs. However as at the campsite we ended up doing the walk backwards, looking for the red arrows pointing back. Actually I think it’s the best route.
The camping facilities were extraordinary. Very clean and lovely and warm. The showers were great, lots of lovely hot water and a screen to stop your clothes getting wet when you are in the shower. They even have hairdryers !
There’s an outdoor pot washing with hot water, even clothes washing machine and tumble dryer.
In the park itself is a lovely cafe and small shop, which serves Guinness, albeit in a can. But I had a lovely small Ulster fry in the morning in the cafe, staffed by 3 lovely helpful chatty ladies. It does take Apple Pay, and other similar payments.
The campsite itself has electricity hookups but no WIFI and no signal for 4g let alone 5g. Best you’ll get is edge. But hey that’s why you are away, and I was happy walking and reading and iPlayer downloads. The campsite hasn’t the views of Tolymore campsite, so you aren’t going to see much from your top bunk. But literally 1 min walk out of campsite and you see the magnificent splendour of the U shaped glen leading down to the sea. The waterfalls were definitely worth the visit, but I think best seen going backwards, and at the bottom is a pub, serving draft Guinness. Luckily for me the pub was closed as no way at my age could I have had a pint and then made it back up. It is steep and long, way up, and a pint certainly wouldn’t have helped.
Some of the signage could do with a little care, and a lick of paint on the railings by the cafe. Don’t miss the “exhibition” by the cafe. Very typical of Northern Irekand, either at Helen’s Bay or Belfast Castle exhibitions 🤪

营地本身有电源接口，但没有无线网络，4G信号都没有，更别提5G了。你能看到的最好景色就是边缘。不过，嘿，这就是你旅行的目的，我乐得散步、看书、下载iPlayer上的节目。这个营地的景色不如托利莫尔营地，所以你从上铺看不到什么。但从营地走出去只需一分钟，就能看到U形峡谷的壮丽景色，一直延伸到海边。瀑布绝对值得一看，但我认为最好是倒着走，瀑布底部有一家酒吧，供应吉尼斯生啤。幸好酒吧关门了，因为我这把年纪肯定喝不完啤酒再爬上来。上山的路又陡又长，一杯啤酒肯定帮不上什么忙。
有些指示牌需要改进一下，咖啡馆旁边的栏杆也该重新刷漆了。别错过咖啡馆旁边的“展览”。北爱尔兰的典型景象，无论是海伦湾还是贝尔法斯特城堡的展览都如此🤪
