Nice, but very pricey now
Dunedin Golf & Country Club的点评
点评：Okay, my younger brother and I have played this course many times ever since he was a teenager, circa late 70's. He still lives in Dunedin, but I'm two hours away, so not as often. This has always been a nice course - wide fairways, lots of trees, a few hills, well maintained. Never had any complaints really, pre-rehab; this was my first time after the renovation.
Impressions: Fairways and greens very well maintained, some improvement in the layouts. Enlarged greens with some of them recontoured for some interesting putting. Additional bunkers on many holes and around greens. Friendly staff. Free range balls a plus. Good carts with LED screens showing holes as you go. Had lunch post-round; decent prices, good service, good food.
On the negative side, quite a bit overpriced IMHO at $100+ tax; my brother paid $75+ tax as a resident. Still pretty steep for off-season mid-week.; there were few other golfers out and we were done in about 3 1/2 hours. This is not a gated private course or a resort amenity. By comparison, he volunteers at the Valspar PGA event at Innisbrook CC and gets open tee times to play their Copperhead a few times a year. We played there last month and our greens fees were $100. Trust me, as nice as Dunedin is, it is NOT Innisbrook Copperhead. I'm sure we'll play again, but the rounds will be few and far between.
