点评：I love old trains, so we had to do this during our brief stay in the Rusk/Palestine area. The only excursion running on the date we were there was the Rusk Turntable Run -- a 90-minute jaunt from Rusk to the Maydelle turntable and back again -- but that was fine because we just wanted to experience the train. We had booked in the cheapest car ($20 per person, before tax and "preservation fee" of $3), but we got lucky: a HUGE group of school kids was also booked into that same car that day, and because we are senior citizens, the lady at the ticket counter had mercy on us (haha) and relocated us to a more expensive car. Our guide, Joyce, was spry, delightful, and knowledgeable. (She said she is 82 years old and has been doing this for 15 years! Rock on, Joyce!!) The turntable is a marvel of engineering, and I enjoyed watching our engine get rotated for our return trip.
