Amazing trip, quite the experience.

点评：I had the opportunity to stay five nights in the guest cabin at Patrick’s place out in the jungle. He has truly built something special for himself there from the main house and guest house to the yard and the trails that wind through the property.
I spent time exploring his museum, which holds an incredible collection of items from around the world and from the many places he has traveled. Hearing the stories behind the pieces and reading through old newspaper clippings about his experiences over the years made it even more fascinating.
Each morning I woke up to bird calls and the sound of howler monkeys, surrounded by an amazing variety of insects and wildlife. The many different butterflies were especially a treat. One of the major highlights was getting to see and learn about his birds.
While I was there, four local police officers stopped by to visit Patrick and see the birds. One of them had met him years ago and brought his partners along. They took photos with Patrick and the birds and were just as amazed by the museum and the depth of knowledge he carries.
Patrick also took me to visit several nearby lodges owned by his friends, where I met many truly kind people. It was an incredible trip, and I will definitely be returning.
