点评:We stumbled upon this experience from TripAdvisor and booked to go the next day.
It was $79 each, and, unfortunately, we didn’t think it was worth it.
1. Check in was a little vague. You had to input your details into one of the staff’s phone, via an Excel spreadsheet that had everyone else’s information on. Data protection anyone?
2. There was 1 tour ‘guide’ and approx. 10 participants. This was an issue when he paddled off and left you to it; you couldn’t hear what he was saying, advising, or pointing out. He was at least a mile away on the return trip - what if someone had fallen in? Or gotten lost? Yes, we had life vests, but anything could happen. He was nowhere to be seen for a lot of the tour.
3. At no point did they ask whether you were experienced in paddle boarding or kayaking before leaving you to it. It was quite stressful having to learn how to paddle, not tip the boat over, and follow him down a busy canal while trying to hear what he was saying.
The positive was raccoon island. It was fun being able to feed them watermelon.
Tour operator office seemed like a shared recreational space. It appeared to be more of an on a whim business which may account for the unprofessional feel and nature of the tour.. The tour guide himself was nice enough, it just wasn’t guided enough.
