点评:came here on the off chance it would be quiet – which it was, only two other kids in. Being midweek, I expected a bit of a warm welcome… but there was no one around at all.
I spotted a sign-in book and started filling it out when a staff member came over and just said “sign it… how old?” I gave the ages, paid £14, and that was it – no greeting, no explanation, nothing. Straight in.
As soon as you walk in, you’re hit with a really fusty smell. I tried to brush it off thinking it might just be from the bouncy castles on other side.
My sister went to grab a drink while the kids played, and we looked at the menu and decided what to order. When I went up to the counter, there were three staff members all sat eating. I was told, “we’re on lunch, but I’ll take your order.” I even offered to come back as there was no sign saying they were closed, but she repeated they were on lunch - but now she was up she’d take the order.
I placed an order anyway (around £30), only to be told it wouldn’t actually be made until they’d finished their break. It was only when I sat back down that it really hit me…
I completely understand staff needing breaks – of course they do – but staggering them or at least putting a sign up would make a huge difference. What would have happened if it had suddenly got busy?
In the end, I asked for a refund and we left.
We went to Wagamama instead, spent less, had lovely food, and the customer service was exactly how it should be.
Safe to say, we won’t be returning.
