Clear or Brown — Who Cares? YS Falls Always Delivers

点评：We recently restarted our YouTube channel while visiting Jamaica and decided to return to YS Falls after a few years. This time, it was a full family outing—my wife, her parents, my parents visiting from Germany, and me—and it turned into another great experience.
After paying the entrance fee, we took the small trolley down to the main area, where you’ll find the pools, the waterfalls, and YS Falls Chill & Grill. Upon arrival, we were told that the water was a bit brownish due to recent heavy rainfall. Honestly, that didn’t surprise us—last time we visited, it was exactly the same. It’s a natural waterfall, after all. Rain will wash earth and sediment into the falls, which can change the color, but it doesn’t mean the water is dirty - and that didn’t stop us. My dad and I still went for the rope swing and jumped into the falls, which was just as fun as I remembered. My wife and her parents spent some time unwinding in a cabana.
There is something for everyone.
Later, we grabbed food at the on-site grill, YS Falls Chill & Grill. The portions were generous, prices were very reasonable, and everything tasted great—exactly what you want after a few hours in the water.
Overall, we had a fantastic time. Whether the water is crystal clear or a little brown from the rain, the experience is still absolutely worth it. YS Falls remains one of those places in Jamaica we can confidently recommend to anyone looking for a mix of nature, relaxation, and a bit of adventure.
