We paid approximately $500 for the cabana and received virtually no attendant service throughout the day. One of the main reasons for renting a cabana is the convenience and service, but we spent much of the day trying to track down help ourselves.
The biggest issue was food service. We placed an order and waited over two hours for it to arrive. During that time, we contacted Guest Services and were told we would receive a call from the first available representative. More than 30 minutes later, they called and told us we needed to go to Guest Services in the park.
When the food finally arrived after more than two hours, it was cold and soggy. By that point, a significant portion of our day had been spent waiting and trying to resolve issues rather than enjoying the park.
What was most disappointing was the response. Rather than addressing the problem directly, we were initially directed to fill out a comment card.
I understand that delays can happen, but this was a moderately busy day, not an unusually crowded holiday weekend. For the amount charged, the level of service was completely unacceptable. After wasting roughly three hours dealing with this abysmal service, we were offered only a 30% refund and meal vouchers. At that point, it was closer to dinner time than lunch.
Aquatica itself is a beautiful park with great attractions, but based on our experience, I would strongly recommend thinking twice before spending the extra money on a cabana. The premium price did not come close to delivering a premium experience.
