点评：I went expecting to be bored stiff as partner is into WW2 history and German U Boats lol but it was a really interesting and enjoyable visit and i learned a lot about Lorient's history . We paid 30 euros for two people and had a guided tour of the submarine pens plus a visit to a French submarine with interactive experiences and i particularly enjoyed the human aspects of what happened to the people in Lorient - very upsetting but also to the German submariners . Very good value for money and staff overseeing the tour and shop etc are very professional and nice. Thank you ! The Base itself is a bit of a funky place to visit - places to eat and drink with lots of very expensive sporting boats using it as a base. You can can also access ferries to a neighbouring island or boat tours . Its an excellent example of urban regeneration whilst keeping its historical integrity.
