Ushaw Historic House, Chapels & Gardens的点评
点评：We had been wanting to visit here for a while but unfortunately it was a bit too expensive for us. We were excited to see it was open for free for heritage week so we jumped at the chance to visit.
We were surprised at how many people were there. Not sure if it’s always that busy or busier due to being free for the day.
We managed to get parked up and walked up to the welcome point where they scanned our passes. We then made our way up to the house which only takes 5/10mins.
We were greeted on the way in and offered a guided tour for 1:15pm. It wasn’t yet 12 so we decided to do a self guided tour. The downside to doing this we have left not actually knowing a lot about the history of the place but I came with my daughter who hasn’t much patience and would have got bored waiting for the tour.
The chapels were our favourite things to see. They are so beautiful.
There are so many and I would love to know the reason why. lol I’ll have to look up the history when I get chance tonight.
There is a beautiful dining room to see, a theatre, a couple of halls and a few rooms with information boards and some artifacts in.
To be totally honest I was expecting more, But we did enjoy what we did see.
We are not really into looking around gardens so we skipped the garden.
