点评:I was lucky enough to see 2 whale sharks which was an amazing experience! The people, including the staff on my boat were very respectful. The 2nd time jumping in made me question their regulations. In the video that you watch before getting on the boat states that you should keep distance & not touch it (common sense) however, people were literally on top of the whale sharks, kicking them with fins and touching them. They hadn’t given it any room at all. It was awful to see this considering guides and staff were also there, present in the water & not stopping this from happening. You are also asked to fill in a form which asks if you can swim. This is pointless as half the people on this cannot swim at all & are being dragged along by their guides or wearing life jackets. Funny enough- these were the people causing the problems, getting too close and touching the sharks and screaming and shouting. I think if you can’t swim or need a life jacket then you should not be allowed to do this. It was awful to see this considering it’s the most ethical way to see them in the phillipines. Please do better. There are too many people in the water with the whale sharks at a time and too many people who can’t swim.
