Philosopher Falls的点评
点评：Beautiful, dense, damp, lush, green, atmospheric woodland walk.
Main track in when driving is signposted from off the main road, track is unsealed but firm and takes you down to a small casual parking area adjacent to the entry point to the walking track. Not suitable for caravans or larger motorhomes.
Track to falls is a gentle down hill walk, well made compacted dirt track, closer to the falls there is a boardwalk and to get down the steep bank to the falls viewing platform are some very sturdy and steep flights of metal stairs. The view of the falls is side on, not viewed from the base of the falls.
Return walk up the stairs will get your heart pumping and the the return trip via the same track you walk in on does feel a little up hill.
Visited mid winter, had been plenty of rain and some of the narrower parts of the track getting closer to the falls were puddled and muddy, being such a well shaded area I would suggest potentially muddy all year round.
Wouldn't recommend taking small kids that require a stroller or that couldn't negotiate some of the rougher spots unless you are happy to carry them.
