点评：We visited The Falls on the Colorado Museum on a Thursday afternoon, and it was such a wonderful find! It was just a quick 7-minute drive from where we were staying, making it an easy and convenient stop.
A Fantastic Local Gem
It’s a small, quaint, and free museum housed in a beautiful 1891 historic granite building that actually served as a local public school for decades (and originally a 19th-century university!). Knowing kids walked those same hallways for generations adds so much character to the space. Inside, there is a surprising amount to see—ranging from Native American artifacts and a cool 700-year-old bison named "Rockie," to nostalgic exhibits on early 1900s life and local school history.
What truly made our visit special, though, was the incredible staff. The staff member working was super nice, friendly, and exceptionally welcoming. When our child started acting out a bit, instead of making us feel uncomfortable, she showed total empathy and even gave him a small gift to cheer him up. That level of kindness and community spirit is rare and meant the world to us as parents!
If you're in Marble Falls, definitely drop by for an hour to explore a piece of local history and support this fantastic free museum. Highly recommended!
