Tangkuban Perahu的点评
点评：I visited Tangkuban Perahu as a Malaysian traveler, and it was a unique and memorable experience.
The entrance fee for non-locals is around IDR 300,000. It may seem a bit pricey at first, but this is within the normal range for attractions in other countries. Once you arrive, the view makes it worthwhile. The main highlight is the crater itself, where you can clearly see smoke (sulfur gas) rising, showing that it is still active.
There is also an option to do a short trek around the area, which takes about 2 hours round trip. It is free of charge, but the trail can be quite steep, so proper trekking shoes are recommended. Local guides are available, and tipping is appreciated if you choose to engage one.
One drawback was that some of the licensed park guides (they were wearing name tags) also brought items along to sell during the tour. While they were friendly, they could be quite persistent, and the prices felt heavily marked up.
While in Bandung for a full day of activities, I highly recommend booking a private driver. We paid around IDR 600,000 for 12 hours, which is a very good deal. The driver could take us anywhere, wait for us while we explored shopping areas or bought local souvenirs, and was very flexible with our schedule. Our driver was also very helpful and friendly, and we even became friends and brought him along for a lunch meal.
For accommodation, it is advisable to stay around Braga Walk. We stayed at Favehotel Braga, and everything such as cafes, shops, and attractions is within walking distance. For shorter trips, using Grab is also convenient and affordable.
Overall, Tangkuban Perahu is definitely worth visiting for its unique natural scenery and experience.
