点评:Our research showed that the best way to travel round the famed Town is by the Aizu Loop Buses. It connects Aizu-Wakamatsu JR Station with all/most of the city's sites of interest. Similar as some Cities the buses running in both directions, the counter-clockwise direction are called Haikarasan and depart every 30 minutes, while buses running in the opposite direction are called Akabe and operate once per hour. The fare is 250 yen per ride or 700 yen for a day pass for unlimited rides on one calendar day. Somehow we travelled the Red Akabe Bus thrice and even was greeted by the same driver!
The bus stops are quite spaced apart, averaging 3+ mins so not viable to walk in-between.. The only comment we have was that the last service ended too early (just before 5pm)! So we have to plan accordingly.
Definitely a good way to explore and see the town area while traveling onboard. Overall it was a good experience for us. 😊
