点评:Rosebud Pier is a 300-metre, plank-lined finger pointing into Port Phillip Bay, acting as a dramatic, fish-scented catwalk for tourists and a somewhat ironically, shallow stage for historically questionable dramatic dives. It’s a rather picturesque spot, surrounded, by shallow, sandbars where, you are more likely to catch a squid, than a deep-sea monster.
For most of the walk, the water is shallow enough that if you dropped your keys, you could probably walk out and get them. By the time you get to the end, it’s deep enough that you’ll see the shipping channel and think, "Yes, this is definitely where the sharks hang out to watch the tourists".
I found it relaxing walking out to the end of the pier... children's laughter echoed under the bridge as they found this place a wonderful spot to swim. There was also a brave group near the end of the pier that were jumping into the water... brave because there were signs saying not to. Signs usually indicate that there have been injuries here in the past from such an activity. But on the day I walked - no one was injured and they were clearly embracing the fun to be had.
