点评：Our Winter Spiti was a well-executed 9 days expedition.
Driving through Spiti in peak winter is not for everyone. It demands experience and precision. Through our drive, Rahul da’s constant inputs, route guidance, and real-time advice made the journey smooth and safe. His understanding of terrain, road conditions, and high-altitude driving truly stood out. He knows the route SO well that he would notify us of each speed camera, area speed limit, if you should slow down, speed up cause there's shooting rocks - you snooze, you lose - All of it!
Every single detail of the trip was thoughtfully planned — from comfortable cozy stays in freezing conditions (WITH running hot water!! Can you imagine that in -25! ) to well-timed café stops, scenic photo stops, and acclimatization breaks. Nothing felt random. There was structure, clarity, and intention behind each day’s schedule.
As two sisters traveling in harsh climate conditions, safety was our top priority. Rahul da ensured regular health checks, proper acclimatization guidance, and always kept the group informed about weather and road situations. We never once felt uncertain or unsupported.
A special mention to Ricky as well, whose fun & calm presence and support throughout the expedition added another layer of reassurance. The teamwork between Rahul and Ricky made the experience seamless.
In every expedition we meet new people and one such family was KK sir, Jagriti didi and Rishi. From unexpected KK's one liners to giggling with did and geology lessons from Rishi - they brought a beautiful softness to this whole trip.
Spiti in winter is surreal — frozen rivers, silent valleys, surprise landslides, post avalanche snow. But what truly makes it unforgettable is being guided by people who genuinely care.
