点评:I have been enjoying this beach for more than 60 years and it is always a great place for families and couples. Park on the Gerroa end and there is bridge crossing the Crooked River/lagoon. Keep an eye open for the fish including mudskippers below. Admire the sea birds. There is a shower to rinse off the sand and salt at the road side near the bridge. Control dogs on leads with the nesting seabirds. The shallow waves are glorious. Remember to swim between the red and yellow flags. There are rips (strong tidal flow which carry you out to sea). Beautiful long beach and it served as a frequent runway for the pioneering aviator Sir Charles Kingsford Smith. To drive from Sydney take the M2 and turn off at Gerringong. Consider staying at the local Holiday Park.
