点评:Well worth the time at the beginning of a Jersey visit and Duncan, the gentleman staffing the information desk, was absolutely outstanding. He summed up our interests in short order and gave us succinct instructions for our touring, often combining activities and dining options. He shortened our long list of things to do by suggesting A before B, and possibly skipping C. His best advice, though, was for us to start with a tour of the attached (and free) Jersey museum, which is filled with information and displays spanning the Neolithic period to the present. We were particularly fascinated with the Victorian House and the "Trade Roots" exhibition that presented evidence of the Island’s involvement in the transatlantic slave trade. A collection of miniature storefront dioramas, the story of British socialite Lillie Langtry, and a summation of the 1781 Battle of Jersey were particular highlights. Before we knew it two hours had passed and we left the museum and Visitor Information Centre well armed with information and stories that simplified our subsequent touring on the Island.
