The beach is also a popular spot for snorkeling, especially among international tourists. You’ll find colorful coral reefs and tropical fish close to shore. There are also a few water activities available, such as banana boat rides, though the facilities are still limited compared to more developed destinations like Bali.
There are several scenic and Instagram-worthy spots around the beach. If you’re lucky, you might catch the arrival or departure of a ferry, which adds a unique view. The beach is located right next to the ferry port to Seram Island and other small islands.
Entrance fees can be checked directly at the gate. Parking is spacious, and you’ll find small local stalls selling snacks like instant noodles, fried bananas, and fresh coconuts. Toilets are available, though cleanliness varies depending on the crowd. A small fee (around IDR 2,000–5,000) is charged for using the shower or toilet. There is also a small prayer room (musholla).
You can also rent mats and inflatable tubes from local residents. Boat rides are available for around IDR 50,000 — the boat guides are very friendly. Travel time from Ambon city is about one hour, and the roads are in good condition.
