点评:Tomorrowland is an incredible festival, but our experience entering the festival on Sunday left us extremely disappointed.
My family traveled from the United States and spent approximately €7,000 on our Tomorrowland weekend. On the evening of Calvin Harris’ performance, we arrived at the designated Kiss & Ride location around 9:00 p.m. We then relied on the official shuttle included with our U-Travel package. Unfortunately, the shuttle did not depart until approximately 9:30 p.m., and after arriving there was still a 15-minute walk to the entrance.
By the time we reached the gate (approximately 9:45 p.m.), we were informed that entry was no longer permitted after 9:00 p.m.
I understand that rules must be enforced. My disappointment is not with the admission policy itself, but with how we were treated.
Rather than showing empathy or professionalism, several members of the security staff were dismissive and patronizing. We were repeatedly told that we had “checked a box” during registration, while our concerns were brushed aside. As we stood there visibly upset after traveling thousands of miles and investing so much in this trip, several staff members appeared to laugh among themselves. When I asked to speak with a manager, the response was no better. The manager did not address the behavior of his staff or attempt to de-escalate the situation. As we were leaving, after I said I intended to share my experience online, one security staff member replied, “It’s a date.”
Because the next included shuttle back to our hotel was not until 1:30 a.m., we had to spend another €80 on a taxi home after already paying €80 to get there.
Tomorrowland is known for promoting unity, respect, and community. Unfortunately, that was not the experience we had at the entrance that evening. I have submitted a formal complaint to Tomorrowland and hope the organization reviews this incident so future guests are treated with greater professionalism and respect.
