点评：I lovely Airfield, based in the fen’s with a good outlook and good parking, a very pleasant place to spend an hour or so.
To anyone who has not visited it in the last six months. It is now under new ownership. The quality of the food has remained superb. The dining area has been refurbished and is very tasteful. done.
There, however is one big question to be addressed that is that the length of time between placing an order whether it be for a cup of coffee or a meal . I’m not sure whether it is down to experience kitchen staff or a shortage of staff.
As a pilot who may be with a friend and flying in for breakfast it is there hope that they can be in and out within the hour as they may well have hired an aircraft, the of cost of hiring it by the hour can make the visit to the Fenland café unacceptable.
I have overheard from groups of motorcyclists who were in for breakfast, reflecting similar views.
Let’s hope that in the coming weeks the service is improved, and that will win back. flying customers that are looking for alternative venues.
