点评：The service was very good, the beer (John Smiths) was very nice and lovely and chilled. The pub was nice and clean, and the lounge looked nice.
Unfortunately, the food was terrible. I ordered the Super Steak meal with a beef dripping gravey. The meal was 2 x 8oz steaks with chips, onion rings, tomato, fried egg, and mushrooms.
The meal came and looked okay. Unfortunately, the steak was the worst steak I've ever had. It had that much grizzle it was nearly impossible to cut with a steak knife 🔪. It was fatty, grizzly, and tough.
I took the meal back and complained to the manager who apologised and said it was obviously a fatty piece and that's she'd the meal. A new meal came with 2 new pieces of steak. I cut into the first steak and started to eat the steak. The manager came over to ask if everything was okay. It was at that point I found out I couldn't actually talk to her because the new steak was grizzly and tough.
In fact, I had to take the steak out of my mouth to talk to her. At which point she said that obviously it wasn't good. To which I agreed. I ate the chips and the egg and some of the other piece of steak, but it was under cooked. I had asked for it to be cooked medium rare, but it was very rare. Also, the sauce that came the second time was peppercorn sauce and not beef dripping gravey.
The manager refunded the cost of my meal and apologised again. She said that it was obviously a poor amount of meat that had been supplied. I did say she should look to change her supplier.
I had been there two weeks earlier and told her I had come back because the meal two weeks earlier had been lovely but was very, very disappointed with this meal.
The manager was really nice about it, and i could not fault the service or the staff.
I'm not sure I'll be eating here again tbh.
