点评:This place is where all of the locals go for ice cream. I first heard about it from the lady we stayed with in San Jose. On the drive up to the preserve next door, I had seen the sign but it just looked like a factory. You have to go to the downstairs area behind the sign, and that's where the ice cream shop is located. After our nature tour, I asked our guide about ice cream in the area, and he recommended this place, and ended up heading here himself afterwards. And then we saw one of our hotel staff getting ice cream here, so clearly it's popular with the locals.
They have tons of different flavors, many that you don't usually find in the US. They also sell various cheeses and other dairy products. The ice cream is great, and they also have shakes. The only reason for 4 out of 5 is that this place is not exactly fancy- no air conditioning, so it gets hot while you're waiting in the store (but there are places to sit outside where there was a breeze). Also, they probably use artificial coloring, so it would be nice if my mint chip wasn't green, but hey this is just a nice place to get some satisfying ice cream on a hot day.
