点评：We visited The White Lion recently while we were in the area for the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Four chaps of a certain vintage from the North East of England.
Wow. What a superb pub. Beautiful grounds and a well laid out seating area outside.
We were greeted by Sinéad (I checked the spelling with her) and nothing was too much bother. Sinéad was friendly, efficient and professional. Just a joy.
The food quality was faultless. A good range of drinks were available. We were there for around four hours and it was so good we returned the following evening. It was just as good as our first visit.
Honestly, there is nothing about the pub or the lovely staff that I could criticise.
My only regret is that it is 330 miles from where we live. Oh to have a local pub as good as this one.
Perfect.
