点评：Went mid week to celebrate a family birthday.
The service was excellent and so was the food but it very very expensive per dish for what it was. Very rich food.
The venue is a bar come bistro and is quite large however it looked like the place was being renovated but it might have also been an intentional decor. Not a fan of its not clear. Was seated near a gapping door to a stairway that was half exposed by canvas. Looked very untidy but as I say it might have been either an intentional decor ploy or was being renovated. Not clear.
The venue was very dark inside with little tea light candles on tables. That’s fine if you want intimacy and fine wine late in the evening but for dinner at 8 it was very hard to read the menus as all in small print on paper. I don’t like to use my phone light but I had to in this instance so I could see what I was ordering! As far as restaurants go I’ve been to better for the price that was charged per dish; not exactly down town New York! The bar selections were ok but particular. At a guess I’d say this place gets booked out Fridays and Saturdays as they request a deposit when making a reservation so make sure you turn up. Btw they don’t answer their phone if you are running late so they “might” give your table away on a busy night if you are really late.
I didn’t really enjoy the venue as it was just too noisy and too dark . I doubt I will go back mainly due to cost.
