点评：My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Wilson Arms today. The staff were welcoming and friendly.
On a cold day, we were pleased to be able to sit next to the woodburner, where we enjoyed our surroundings and the great background music. The pub was suitably dressed for Valentine's Day. There are plenty of historic features, remaining from the original cottages, but the building has been tastefully refurbished and brought up to modern standards.
Lunch was delicious. Thank you Chef! The Venison Scotch Egg, served with a tasty sauce, was perfect.
My husband ordered the Classic Steak and Ale Pie and declared it was the best he had eaten in some time. I was glad that I had ordered the Light Bite Battered Haddock and Chips, with mushy peas and tartare sauce, as it was very satisfying. As usual, we enjoyed the Loweswater Gold beer, which accompanied our meal.
Thank you to all the staff.
