点评：We dined here on a Friday night during the summer season. When we arrived, the establishment was relatively busy. However, as it was unseasonably cool, the numbers dining outside reduced rapidly as some departed whilst others like us moved to tables inside.
Our food and drink orders were taken quickly and our drinks arrived soon after. Our pizzas were also served within a reasonable time after our orders were placed.
A variety of different pizzas had been ordered and everyone at our table agreed that that were tasty and well-cooked. However, that was where the enjoyment of our meals ended. Whilst we were eating, at about 8.00pm, a table near us was vacated. As soon as the patrons were out of the door, a male staff member appeared with a broom and dustpan and started sweeping the floor around the vacated table. As this was quite close to where we were eating, this seemed to us to be somewhat unnecessary and mildly irritating!
By 8.30pm, we had finished eating and were hoping to relax for a short time before departing. However, the male staff member had different ideas and reappeared with his broom and dustpan. His presence and actions made it very clear that he wanted us to leave. Such behavior at 10.00pm may have been understandable. However, this establishment was serving dinners and it has never before been our experience when dining elsewhere, that there is an expectation that you should be gone by 8.30pm!
Having well and truly received the unspoken message, we paid the bill and left. We will not be returning again to dine in an establishment where you are made to feel unwelcome. This is quite a shame because their pizzas were actually very nice!
