Disappointing experience
The Fountain Inn Restaurant的点评
点评：After visiting previously on a few occasions and having good food, we returned for a special family celebration for a Golden wedding Anniversary.
It was very disappointing! 2meals out of the 7 were edible, being the mixed grill however chips were cold, And the lamb shank was the only meal hot. 2 of the meals were children's meals.
2 Meals were returned due to a sad looking side salad fit for the bin, plus temperature of the food wasn't acceptable. Another family member was put off by the salad.
One dish was warmed up upon return, however it still wasn't 'fresh and warm' chips and potatoes were cold, peas were cold. Fish was soggy and greasy.
It ruined the whole experience!
We were offered complimentary dessert, however our meal had been ruined and we didn't want to experience further disappointment.
At checkout a different member of staff, who had just started their shift and smelled like a dirty ashtray!!!! offered 20% off the bill once we had explained our dissatisfaction.
We asked if there was an issue in the kitchen and we were told the chef was a trainee.
She also said she hoped we would return, to which I replied that would not be the case! She turned rude and sarcastic.
A truly disappointing experience and a special celebratory meal ruined .
We will definitely not return in the future.
