Fireworks, shame parking was a shambles again....

点评：We were massively disappointed with the firework event.
We emailed in advance of buying tickets this year to ask if the parking and entry to site had been improved since last year, which was a disaster.
We were assured that multiple entries would be open to get people parked as soon as possible.
Once again the queues on the road were huge as it was a single point of entry onto the estate. It was up a slope with slippery tracks laid which made getting up almost impossible. Our clutch was smoking due to the queue in and trying to get up these slopes.
The 2 hour fiasco in the car park to get out was appaling. There were no stewards, other than the 2 at the very end at the gate to the road. The car park was like a skating rink of mud and everyone making their own lanes and causing chaos. The weather could not be helped but the lack of organisation definately could.
The compere said there was 12000 people there, surely this warranted more than one entry/exit point to the main car park. All sales were in advance so this could easily have been factored in to the planning.
We walked back to ask if there were any additional stewards that could be sent and were told that the entry staff were not responsible for the car park.
Yes, we expected it to be busy, we left early to get there in plenty of time and we expected there to be delays, but there was no improvement on last year at all.
Scouting for girls were great, the fireworks were lovely and that is where it stops. We will not be back.
