点评:After visiting the Crofters Pantry for the last 4 years it soon became mine and my partners ‘favourite cafe ever!’ Being caravan owners close by we would eat here on a regular basis and advertised the cafe to our guests. We visited last summer and quickly noticed it was under new management, we didn’t mind as things still seemed the same and the menu was similar. Overall, it wasn’t great but we thought maybe it’s teething problems and that was understandable in any establishment.
We decided to visit again this weekend and after being told the place was in fact under new management and had been for a number of months the service again was shocking!!
We ordered breakfast, as we waited the staff seemed to all be flustered and it was chaos! Not one meal got delivered to the correct table the first time around, the staff were wandering from table to table searching to find the tiny table numbers that lay flat on each table so had no clue where they was going!!
As we waited, we saw 2 separate customers return with takeaway orders which were incorrect or had missing items. Our food was served a good 40 minutes after ordering, toast that accompanied the breakfast was left on the table 12 minutes before the breakfast came so was freezing when the rest arrived! We did ask for fresh toast to be made and it was. Overall the food again wasn’t necessary piping hot, something the old owners excelled in as every meal looked fresh and was presented well and piping hot. The staff member identified I think that we wasn’t happy, she said she was the owner and excused it by explaining that she had a different chef working as her usual chef booked a holiday to which she rolled her eyes! Not great customer service from the owner in my opinion. At this point we left and unfortunately won’t be returning and will no longer promote to holiday makers.
I would be grateful if anybody knows where the previous owners have ventured too if they have stayed local or managing another cafe in the area etc?
