Alma Restaurant的点评
点评：Alama del Pacifico has been our favorite resort for many years but in recent years we have become very disappointed with the management of this resort.
We failed to write a review last year but in a nut shell the decision to allow dogs at this resort was a major mistake. We love dogs, but at a resort they should be leashed. The beach front units have open air showers and I did not appreciate owners in my backyard looking for their dog while I'm having a shower.
Upon arrival this year we booked in to our beach front unit #1 not our favourite but all we could get apparently. The ceiling fan was on turbo mode and did not have any other speed. The toilet paper holder was filthy and disgusting. The lock on the door was so stiff, my wife could not unlock it by herself. One of the loungers had a very sharp edge. We complained to management and all issues were addressed. At this point they offered us another unit but not on beach front but rather a Garden Suite. Thank you but that's not what we ordered nor payed for. Management may also look at repairing and adjusting cupboard doors and fixing the white plastic vanity curtains in the front of the suite.
This year the dogs were still amongst us and it is was unfortunate. We arrived on Valentines day and were told there was a special dinner for V day. It looked great but much too much for us and we were told we could still order off the menu. This special dinner was for guests and outsiders we were told. Later that evening while having a cocktail we were told the restaurant was closed and we had to have the V day special. The manager then told us we could go a few yards down the beach to another hotel and restaurant and have dinner there. Keep in mind we are paying guests at( Alama del Pacifico.) Well we took her advice and walked down to the restaurant, it was closed every Wednesday. We found out quite by accident there was a little local store, apparently a little secret in the small community. We found something resembling bread and with some butter, ham and cheese left over from our car traveling lunch we managed to stave off starvation. (Sarcasm here).
Other items of note: pool area deck not cleaned from bird droppings, dirty shade umbrellas, loungers being repaired with plastic tie strips and unfortunately dead and missing flora making the overall look of the resort rather sparse compared to other years. I do not expect a reply from Alama del Pacifico management as it does not appear to be of importance to them after looking at other reviews good or otherwise.
