点评:We went on Labour Day so we were not surprised that there was a wait to get a table. The hostess told us that it would be up to a twenty minute wait for a table. She asked my name and asked us to come back in twenty minutes. When we came back, I told the hostess my name and that we had been told a table should be reserved for us. The hostess,( a different staff member), informed us that the person that took my name is new and that she should not have taken a reservation on the spot. I asked that she honour the other hostess's promise. I was told that would not be possible and that if I wanted to stand outside on the sidewalk, a table should open up in about 20 minutes to a half hour, or I could have her write my name in the reservation book and a table would be available in two hours. That last statement made absolutely no sense at all. I'm in my 60's and have worked in the service industry for my entire career. The hostess should have apologized for the error and promised me the next available table instead of the passive aggressive stance that she she took while acknowledging the error. How many other couples received the same treatment,(we know of one for sure)? This soured us on, not only the restaurant, but on our trip to Elora. Needless to say, we left Elora and will never come back.
