Butters Place Cafe的点评
点评：I had been recommended twice to try this cafe as a nice location to try. So on the first moment available after moving into the area I arrived with a normal sized expectation for good service and tasty food. Well let’s just say you will be greeted by a lady who looks like she just literally rolled out of bed and is still wearing her pyjamas. Wrinkled and disheveled is my first impression Ok
Place my order Disappointed to discover they don’t make the pancakes fresh to order. Unsure why?
My girlfriends healthy poached eggs arrived fried and the piece of sourdough is literally dripping in butter. The avocado looks like it came from a squeeze tub. Didn’t look fresh. None of this we mentioned to the staff just to ourselves
However the main problem here was when we questioned the staff member (pyjama lady) on why my other girl friends food came in a cardboard box with wooden cutlery when the rest of us had crockery and metal cutlery. An explanation regarding the different menus was give. This is fine we understood . However we are all sitting in the garden together. Could they not have put her croissant on a plate? To which we received the very sassy reply. Shall I get the manager so you can take it up with her 😳. Well this wasn’t needed at all. Just a sorry let me get you a plate was all we were after. But ok let’s get the manager The manager then arrives and defends her staff member and the menu and I don’t think she understood our common sense query or wanted to take the feed back. We had now become a source of interest for the other diners which wasn’t the expectation of our fortnightly cafe catch-up Would we try butters again ? Probably not
