点评：We had a wonderful experience in the countryside outside of Limousin at Le Jardin des Lys. This guesthouse is a charismatic medieval building, well-maintained and nicely furnished by the delightful and personable hosts, Delphine and Andy. The garden in the back is lovely and Le Jardin des Lys is literally across the street from a beautiful old church (note that the [bells] don’t chime from 11PM until 6 or 7 AM) and you can easily walk into the charming town with its shops, restaurants, bars and, of course, patisseries, boulangeries and chocolate shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our delicious, beautifully-presented dinner at Le Jardin des Lys, which was lovingly prepared by Delphine using fresh local sources. We had multiple opportunities to share warm exchanges with Delphine and Andy, which greatly enhanced our experience by learning about their lives and culture. Our room was large with a very comfortable bed and a sitting area, and included many amenities such as earplugs for the church’s chimes, a fan, tea kettle and more. The breakfast was outstanding, including fresh fruit, homemade jams and assortment of breads and the best, freshest croissants we’ve ever tasted. We highly recommend staying here and wish we could have stayed longer!
