点评:This restaurant was recommended by the owner of the Villa that we have rented, and as he has pointed us in the direction of some fine dining experiences in Lanzarote over the years, I was looking forward to this being another. It started positively when I went into the restaurant earlier in the day; speaking to a very competent male member of staff, taking my reservation and enquiring where I would like to sit. I made it very clear that I needed to sit inside due to a post op medical issue with my movement. He very kindly showed me some tables inside which would suit. All good up to know, even studied the menu during the afternoon to whet my appetite. On arrival, I was “greeted” by a rather rude young lady who didn’t speak much English…no issue with that so I tried some basic Spanish which seemed to work. I noticed that whilst the inside was empty, my table for two was occupied by two women drinking. I was then shown to a table outside for whatever reason as I couldn’t understand anything the waitress said. Having tried once again to explain I had booked the inside for a reason, the waitress then presented my name on a reserved sign and put it on the new table; grunted and went away. My partner, who could see I was getting very irritated, also tried to sort this out but to no avail. After 5 minutes of no interaction with the waitress, my partner helped me up and we left, hungry and p’d off. I cannot understand how the level of competence of staff can go from 10 to 0 in such a short time.the evening ended well though as I managed to get in La Portena and had some of the best food I have had for a while. In fact, I rebooked there again for two more nights so if the owner of LTDP reads this, your waitress has cost you around 500 euros. Although, I suppose I should be grateful as her incompetence created a very memorable experience which I recommend all to try.
