点评：Located between Forth and Lanark at Muirfoot Farm you need to have your eyes peeled for the subtle signage and pull-off into the cafe car park. Check opening times online - usually operate around 10.00am - 4pm.
It’s a modern barn-like building with seating on two levels however when we last visited only the lower level was being used making it seem relatively busy. The menu covers snacks, which are a little different from the usual offerings, plus cakes and drinks. There are usually “specials” on a chalk board in addition to the menu provided.
On this occasion my wife ordered a Roast Beef Ciabatta and I had their Sausage Ciabatta, both served with salad and a tasty dressing, coleslaw with paprika sprinkles and some taco crisps. The sausage was different from that expected in a good way - a flavorsome round slice and when combined with a red onion chutney the taste was delicious. My wife enjoyed the quality roast beef but thought there was too much gherkin accompanying it for her personal preference.
We had Americano coffee with the food (hot milk in a mini churn to accompany mine) and rounded things off with a couple of slices of the moist Raspberry & Coconut sponge cake and a Diet Coke for my wife. All good in our opinion. Total cost was just under £35 which we thought was decent value for money.
The local young guy who served us was mannerly and friendly and the toilets were well maintained (these are a bit quirky too).
