点评：Visited at just before 10 mid week. Gentleman wasn’t particularly welcoming. Despite the cafe being empty he seemed unsure as to where we should sit, as some of the tables were booked for 1pm. He decided we could sit near the wood burner. The tables were so close together that we couldn’t pull the chairs out without moving the table. Tables and chairs looked like they had been there since the 50s. We had expected a gift shop and gallery, but it was difficult to see the goods as they were piled high in windows and were difficult to access. Never saw any art. The cakes and coffee were top notch. However the waitress mumbled that it was difficult for her to get to the wood burner to add logs as we were sat in the way.
We thoroughly enjoyed the coffee and cakes but not the surroundings. With a bit of organisation, some decluttering, and updated tables and chairs it could be very good.
