Lovely chilled hotel with great facilities in a beautiful location

点评：We had a lovely 6-night stay at the Hotel Cap Negret at the end of May - me and my husband, our daughter and her boyfriend. The hotel was quite quiet when we arrived, with plenty of space around the pool, but even at the end of the week when it was fully booked due to a cycling event, there were always sun beds available during the day. There were lots of cyclists staying - groups of friends and families - but it was not a problem, the hotel had a lovely friendly vibe. We had breakfast in the restaurant - there was always plenty of choice, and although it could be busy from 9am, there was no shortage of food. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the air conditioning was efficient and we slept really well - occasionally heard a door opening or closing but not an issue. The bar and lounge area was spacious, drinks and food reasonably priced, and the kids loved the pool table.
Several times we got the shuttle bus into Altea - it runs every half hour with eight spaces so you just write your room number on the sheet in Reception to reserve a space - and Alex the driver is great. We walked back each time (about 15 minutes) but a taxi wouldn’t be very expensive. We also got the tram into Benidorm a couple of times - the tram stop is only 5 minutes from the hotel and the single fare for the 20 minute journey is only €1.45.
All in all we had a brilliant time and can’t wait to return!
