点评：A fantastic all round,unique experience from the boat ride over to embarking on wee cumbrae.Lovely warm welcome from Peter and Linda,caretakers.I have been many times on my own and with family and friends of all ages.The mansion house is beautiful if you are lucky enough to be shown inside but the castle keep is so amazing and historic,you could imagine being on the set of braveheart or game of thrones but it was the playground/hunting grounds of king Robert 11 of Scotland .
Both lighthouses,cottages,are great places to visit as they are all open .Terrific sense of history at chapel ruins too,the home of Saint Bey.
The island feels so much bigger when you're actually on it .Peter and Linda have worked so hard in the big house and backbreaking groundworks ,keeping trails open and accessible .Have to mention Colin too who took us over and back to Millport and who also assists with maintenance .
