点评：I had booked the Sikkim Tour Package (Sikkim and Darjeeling) online for my family (me, my wife, and 2 daughters) for 7 nights and 8 days from 17/5/2025 to 24/5/2025 through Yes India Tourism holiday consultant, Mampi Paul, on 9/4/2025. Before the tour booking, she had assured me that the accommodation would be provided in good 2-3 star hotels at all the places and not in a homestay. She did not mention it anywhere in the confirmed quote about the homestay. (Refer to Sikkim Tour Package confirmed quote)
But, on the 4th day evening, when we reached Pelling to check in, we noticed that it was a homestay of only two duplex rooms surrounded by a congested residential area like a slum. There was no attached bathroom/washroom to those rooms. There was not even a proper road to reach there with a vehicle. Moreover, it was at a village far away from the marketplace at Upper Pelling where all the hotels are located. I immediately called Mampi Madam and requested to change my accommodation to a hotel near the marketplace, but she refused to do so and did not cooperate. I also told her that I will search for other safe accommodation in a hotel near the market at my own cost, and arrange to give me the refund for these two days' accommodation. She again denied the same and did not agree to it.
Hence, with the help of the driver, I managed to get accommodation in a hotel near the market for two days at my own cost. Moreover, it was extremely disappointing to all of us, as a result, we could not enjoy the tour on the following day. Mampi Paul literally fooled and cheated us.
