Absolutely the best!
Villa Trasimeno的点评
点评：Our time at Villa Trasimeno was better than I could have imagined. Our group of four stayed for 8 days and 7 nights as part of our two week Italian vacation. The food we ate, made by Carmelo and Luana, was the best we had our whole trip. Every single meal was superb! The wines paired with each meal were perfect, as well. In addition to that, the day trips with Carmelo were outstanding. Carmelo explained all the historical relevance as well as showed us hidden gems in every town we visited. We never could find/know these details on our own. We never felt rushed yet saw so much! Our private winery tours and tastings were out of this world. Our favorite was the Brunello wine at Palazzo Winery! Wow! Being our first trip to Italy, it was also a blessing to have Carmelo pick us up at the airport and drive us to Rome for the remainder of our trip so we did not have to navigate that part. When we departed in Rome, we felt like we were saying goodbye to family. This was truly the best trip ever. I can’t speak highly enough about our time at Villa Trasimeno and look forward to another visit someday!
P.S. All the hill towns are amazing. It’s hard to pick a favorite but Assisi just felt extra special.
We LOVED our cooking class with Carmelo and Luana and felt so welcome in their home. We made a seafood pasta (mussels, calamari, and shrimp with homemade pasta), almond encrusted sea bass with potatoes and ended with an espresso and chocolate cake for dessert - this is the kind of dinners we had each night!
We also loved going to Deruta to see the ceramics process from beginning to end (and met the owner). The old part of town was so quaint and we bought several pieces and had them shipped home (we didn’t have to worry about anything breaking). We weren’t sure we were going to enjoy this but it was a highlight!
