Sa Capella的点评
点评：We frequented Sa Capella purely by accident, and I’m sure under different circumstances it could have been a different experience.
We’d had a very difficult evening leaving us stranded with no show taxis for over an hour in the Ibiza countryside outside San Antonio and walked a long way after an evening at the beach. When we found Sa Capella we thought our prayers had been answered for good food and a drink.
The young gentleman at the front (he’s the filter for undesirable customers) was lovely, he told us the restaurant was full - it was almost 11pm but we asked if we could get a drink and a taxi and he said yes we can accommodate you in the “lounge” area.
The hostesses were courteous and took us to a seated area in the garden where we were attended to by Laura for 2 well needed glasses of wine.
We were not looking our best, having trudged from a hot evening at the beach but we sat and enjoyed a chilled glass of Albariño lamenting where we may still be able to eat at such a late hour. We finished our wine; watched a table of 5 gentlemen arrive, drink water then be escorted to their table but no-one came back to us. We tried to get attention - several times, so we could pay the bill; in the meantime all the restaurants near our hotel were closing one by one.
After failing miserably to attract any attention from the many staff at 11.45 we went back to the hostesses.
Now the staff didn’t make it entirely obvious that our business was unwelcome; they are obviously trying to keep an air of class about the place and the cars waiting to escort the high end clients home allude to that. But they’re unaware that we have plenty of money and class and would have happily spent a lot of money for fine food. It was actually our 35th wedding anniversary but the evening just hadn’t panned out as planned. We’d have loved the idea of Sa Capella for another evenings fine dining, but the dismissive snobbery put us off for good. Shame really.
