点评:The last 7 or 8 km to the village is on a gravel road. No problems (at least not while it was dry). Definitely worth the trip! The museum was small but interesting. All information is in Spanish, just fyi. No charge, just a request for donation.
Next to the museum is a home with a gift shop at the front where we found a limited selection of gorgeous masks as well as woven items. Across the street is an official gift shop and it carried lots of mask options, as well as a few t-shirts and woven items.
On the way out of the village we stopped at a local artisan's home and "gallery" where we found several tables of gorgeous masks and plenty of woven items for sale. Met the elderly lady who does the woven items. She was delightful and thrilled to show off her items.
Overall, 2 couples bought 7 masks and several lovely woven shawls/table runners, bag purse, and coin purse. Having shopped for masks at Souvenir Shops closer to San Jose, these masks were FAR nicer and FAR less expensive.
FYI, there are no restaurants, gas stations, etc here. There's a small market where you can buy drinks, snacks, etc. There's a school, and you may see school children going to & fro.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the village. And we were delighted to see our money go directly to the Boruca peoples and artisans.
