点评：After reading former reviews we were unsure what to expect, but as it was close to our accommodation in Cromwell decided to take a punt and book a table. First impressions were good, a cosy gas fire was on which was great on a cold wintry Sunday evening. Only one other table was taken, but the waiter was friendly so we had a chat whilst waiting for our meal to arrive.
After choosing a glass each of a crisp NZ Sauvignon Blanc it wasn’t too long before our lamb Ragu with parpadelle arrived. The bowls were heated and the large serving was nicely presented. After declaring we couldn’t finish the whole dish, took the leftovers with us. The lamb ( plenty of it) was meltingly tender in a tasty, slightly peppery tomato based sauce, it was honestly the best Ragu we have eaten, even better than one we had in Queenstown a few days before. We asked the other table what they had and agreed all three of their dishes were very good.
Don’t get put off by the fact the restaurant is in a shopping precinct, the interior was clean and nicely furnished, the other diners also were happy with their choices. Give this a try if you are in the area.
