Great spot, an with a few small tweaks, could be just fantastic.

点评：A really great spot at the top of the hill.
Pros:
Lovely staff. Very friendly and lots of smiles. Great service in the restaurant at dinner.
The sunrise from our window was breathtaking.
Spacious rooms, comfy beds, jacket hooks near the door. (So many don’t have hooks.) Everything clean, everything smelled good.
The room has a fridge. No, this is not normal in DACH region.
Great breakfast, nice selection. Although a little variety would be nice. Pancakes, anyone? Yes please!
Superb German restaurant for evening dinner, with great atmosphere. No need to go anywhere after a long day skiing, and we were hard pressed to find anything better.
First run of the day without anyone else on the hill is amazing.

Free access to the tower for a great view of the surrounding region.
Wish list:
Much thicker curtains. The flashing lights of the snow groomer woke me at 1am.
The room TV is in dire need of an update. For comparison, at the Aja Hotel, we could cast our movie from our iPad to a modern 40 inch TV for family Movie Night.
Please start breakfast earlier! Not opening breakfast until 8am means a pretty hectic breakfast if you want to get that amazing first run of the day. 07:30 would be so much better.
It would be nice if the Sauna was turned on in the afternoon. Not everyone skis until the lifts close.
And lastly, lack of charging points for electric cars. In this day and age, I was more than surprised that I couldn’t charge my car at this hotel. A ski hotel affected by climate change should have a few of these. Just saying.
All in all, I can totally recommend this hotel for a ski holiday in Obeweisenthal.
