点评：What an incredible dinner we had at Platanos! Hidden away in a quaint square with no cars allowed, with a giant tree in the middle and an enormous grapevine growing overhead, this delicious, authentic tavern is not to be missed! It's known for its meat dishes, but the vegetarian dishes like lima beans, haloumi cheese and roasted vegetables, were all wonderful too. They even make their own tea blend from local herbs.
We were a large group of 11 people and they were able to accommodate us easily. There were a few other tourists there but it seemed like mostly locals, which is a testament to how great it is.
The owner Constantin is a lovely, warm individual who made personal recommendations about what we should order, and every one of his recommended dishes was amazing. The prices were reasonable, the food among the best, freshest and tastiest we have eaten in a very long time. If we were staying in Rhodes longer we might even consider eating there again!
Standout dishes include the moussaka, the roasted eggplant, the lima beans, and so many others!
