More Negatives Than Positives Unfortunately.
Whaplode Manor的点评
点评：Mixed feelings really about this place.
I stayed here for 2 nights, it is literally in the middle of no where - which is not good if you want something to eat/drink.
Holbeach centre (if you can call it that), is the nearest place to get anything to eat/drink, and that is about 2 and a half miles away.
As it is A roads and country roads, anywhere and everywhere you go is not recommended on foot, so drive or taxi.
When you enter Whaplode Manor, the grounds are covered with stones, again, not ideal as a choice of surface.
The room itself was nicely presented, i would of preferred a double bed rather then two singles ( i had to push them together), and the fact you have a fridge in there is a nice touch and very much welcome.
Along with this, you have the usual kettle and coffee/tea and a wall mounted tv.
Upon check-in, the reception was closed (its not manned), just a note on the door stating what room was allocated to whom. The rooms were unlocked and your room key was waiting for you on the table in the room.
Not an ideal way to check in but, its different i guess.
You have a bay outside your room, ample room for you to park your vehicle.
I found the room door to be quite stiff and not that easy to lock.
The extractor fan in the bathroom was noisy, noisier than what it should be, it stayed on for about 25 minutes after i switched the bathroom light off which i thought was strange.
There was also a number of cobwebs in the bathroom, which i feel could of been dusted up.
I do not know what the cleaning policy is at this place but the room was not cleaned either, at the very least my overfilled bin could of been emptied.
An apart from being awoken at 5.30am by the crying kid in the next room, the overall stay was ok. It was peaceful, and there is some nice countryside around there, it was nice to see the sun setting behind the tree in front of my room - the highlight of my entire stay!
But as far as location goes, if you are like me, wanting that nearby country pub within a stones throw walk to go to on an late afternoon/evening, then this is not the place for you.

When i went to check out, which is 11am, i went to the reception to hand my key in, but again, it was locked, with the same check in note on the door from two days previous, so as there was nothing stating what to do with regards to checking out, i just assumed you left things how you found them - by leaving the key in the room.
I think this is quite poor customer service and very lazy.
